Flickr, which is arguably the most popular photo sharing site around recently announced that from March 15th onwards, all users will need to use a Yahoo! ID in order to login to their Flickr accounts thus putting the final strike on the merger between itself and Yahoo!
As if that wasn’t bad enough, they now decided to limit the number of contacts you may have on your list to 3000, and the number of tags you can add to your pictures to 75. Ok, so the last limitation is understandable, but limiting your contacts to 3000 when there are so many different ways: Groups/Friends/Family to get them is a bit stupid. Plus… Flickr is, in part, a social networking site, and it makes no sense for such a site to impose such a limit.
