Even more iTunes phone details, if you can believe it: a source involved with making the commercials for the new handset has confirmed for us that it will only hold 100 songs because Apple is worried about cannibalizing iPod shuffle sales. Our source also says that these first iTunes phone ads will be “music-based spots with people calmly walking down the street on the phone with their shadows and reflections dancing wildly beside them.”

oh dear, guess they are banking on the name selling it then (which it probably will). Personally I will be going for the Nokia N91 which is claiming room for 3000 tracks…

There’s way too much hype over the iTunes phone just because it uses iTunes, I’ve seen better alternatives such as the Nokia Ed mentioned or the samsung or this great alternative which even has a scroll wheel like the iPod’s.

I have no doubts that the iTunes is a really good store but when there are already better music phones out there (jeez, even my old 6230 can play mp3s and read MMC cards) I think the hype everyone is making will either crush this phone or make it as successful as the iPod. My bets are on the first though, here’s a wind of up the next days after the iTunes phoned is released.
