One of the high-flyers during the Internet boom has been sold. Too bad very few others had as much luck. Major League Baseball has bought Tickets.com for $66 million and now you have to wonder what kind of stuff will they do to put their product ahead of the NBA and NFL. I would say NHL, but hockey players don’t like to play every single year it seems.

1Maybe MLB.com will finally be able to fix its online ticket purchasing system. Try getting Red Sox tickets online and you will know what I mean. You are lucky to get into the Virtual Waiting Room and the odds are against you from even being able to purchase tickets once you get there.
Granted, us Red Sox fans are pretty large in number, but the MLB.com’s system is pathetic.

2Well I don’t go to any baseball games and trust me if I wanted to it’s not hard to get Devil Rays tickets around here. Costs like $5 to go to a game.
