And they even put up a snazzy graphic to show it:

However, in Japan, Nintendo, with the DS (DS+DS Lite model) has sold almost 4 million consoles there this year.
Now, I’m under mixed impressions. Even though I own a PSP, I really think that the DS is the clear winner of this portable console war. However, I don’t think the PSP is a complete loss, nor should it be scratched from Sony’s schedule. Where I live it’s made a pretty big impact, and it seems that every kid I know wants one from Christmas.
One thing is certain, competition in any market is always good. Every Nintendo fan flamed the little black (or white) console when it first showed up, claiming it’s battery was very poor, but even with that flaw, it managed to stay afloat and still continue placing quality titles on the shelves every month.
And in a few months, Sony will release the PSone emulator for PSP, and allow you to download classic titles for the PSP, so I think that it’s future can only get better and better.

4I figured that but maybe a link explaining things like… iono… a lot of PSone games are bigger than a gig plus the size of the emulator. I’m just wondering where you heard about it. o.O

5I was announced a couple of months ago from Sony Japan… I’m sure that if you Google it you’ll hear something about it. Actually, if you go further back you’ll learn that Sony threatened one PSP developer warning him to stop developing his own PS1 emulator.
A few months later we found out why they were so aggressive towards him.

6You can answer any question just by telling them to Google it. I feel kind of dumb now, it’s so obivous.
