Since today’s election day, I’m wondering where people really stand compared to how they’re voting. The World’s Smallest Political Quiz is a 10 question tool to determine where you sit on the political scale… do you favor economic freedom? personal freedom? both? neither? or somewhere in between.. More useful than the polarizing labels of liberal/conservative right/left, you’ll receive a diamond shaped chart like the one below, noting where your stands on the 10 representative issues place you on the political roadmap.

So… did your results meet your expectations? Or were you surprised?

1OMG I was hoping at least one site on the entire internet wouldn’t talk about politics today. :(

3I landed smack where I thought I would land; I am a centrist, trying to find an intelligent middle way between the rebel red and the opressive blue.

4I didn’t think the quiz would be very acurate. I didn’t think ten questions would be enough. However, I was surprised to find it still put me where I actually am politically. Liberal.

5Liberal Libertarian. Socially liberal, fiscally moderate. Nothing new here.
(By the way, the quiz is slightly biased, being run by a Libertarian organization and all).

6actually, it’s not. look at the aggregate results. There are more people scoring as libertarians than describe themselves as such, but that’s simply because we’re basically a two party system and people who tend to be fiscal conservatives and social liberals choose whichever they consider the lesser of two evils. Pegged all my coworkers solidly, though my boss is a tad bit closer to centrist than I expected. Read some of the history of the quiz, and their FAQ. interesting stuff.

7This thing is a bunch of crap. I’m a solid conservitive and it says I’m a libertarian leaning left. The questions are wieghted liberal with the “corperate hand out” comment.

8If you take your red dot score and move it up or down to the longest horizontal line that will tell you where you really stand on the liberal-conservative political spectrum. This would make a liberatarian or a non-liberatarian actually both moderates. I prefer to still think in the liberal-conservative terms. Then if you want to get more specific tell someone later why you are a moderate or whatever. Even moderates can completely disagree with each other. You liberatarians act like no government is the best solution.I don’t think so. This would bring complete chaos. I am a centrist but a supporter of Statism or big government. I am a Scoop Jackson democrat or a present day Joe Lieberman guy. He is a moderate by the way in anyone’s book. No one ever called him a liberal in 2004.

Wrong, conservatives are OPPOSED to corporate welfare and hand outs to companies. Obviously, you didn’t know that. Anyway, I got 100% economic conservative and 80% socially liberal on that quiz.
