I forget a lot of times that just because I don’t need something that others out there won’t jump at the opportunity to scoop up a deal when it becomes available. TextDrive, the hosting service by TextPattern’s Dean Allen, is going through a second round of VC and is offering a bargain of a deal: $399 gets you lifetime hosting.

Here is what the plan includes:

  • 1 gigabyte server space (unmetered mail and database storage)
  • 20 gigabytes of bandwidth per month
  • up to 15 top-level domains (with unlimited aliases)
  • unlimited email mailboxes & aliases
  • shell access

Hopefully they are around long enough to recomp your money, but with the support they have and the great reviews I have been hearing from people they shouldn’t have any problems at all.
