One of the lesser known projects under the Mozilla Foundation is BugZilla (damn perfect Version 2 candidate). Linux Journal posts a great intro article to get you started with this very useful piece of OS software.

1I should take a look at this. Currently, we’re using Alcea Fast BugTrack… works pretty well, but at least the version we have doesn’t run as a service on NT, which is a pain… someone has to be logged in at all times, with that piece of software running and minimized

2JC!… Just came across this link…
Not running it as a service would be a pain… there are instructions on our site to run Alcea Fast BugTrack as a service…
