Official PSOne emulator for PSP announced
Friday, Mar. 17 2006 | Author: GriffithThe President of Sony Computer entertainment, Ken Kutaragi, has recently announced that an official PSOne emulator will be released for Sony’s great portable console and users will be able to acquire them legally through an online platform of some sort. However, there is yet no information on whether you will be able to pass your PS1 games directly to PSP.
With this measure (if it’s not too late), the PSP could very well enter a turning point and expand it’s game library by the thousands. But, you know what the best thing about this is folks?

9PSP grafix are stil way beter than any PSone game but playin tekken 3 ne-were wud stil be kickass to da max especially if we cud use wi-fi.booyakasha word out to da staines massive aighit

12Oh man! Fucking great new! MGS, FF7+8+9 on PSP.. WOW! I’ve heard somewhere that they’re gonna charge around 15 dolla’s per download. Still quite a bit of money, but at least it’s cheaper then UMDS!

16i’m with NEwschool, Bushido Blade kicks!!! FF7 also kicks too! But Busido Blade will slice up Cloud like tomato. Ahhh, the FF7 days, like they were yesturday. FF7 Advent Children rocks by the way, you should get it for PSP, very cool!!! Much better than the First FF7 flick.

17i don’t care wether u say 7 is better than 8 or vice versa but being able to play final fantasy’s, mgs and castlevania on my PSP yes get in sony should get the gold award for console design and everything

20I can’t help but wonder why, ‘xsa’, you still seriously care about homebrewing in the light of this news. The only ‘mega benefit’ is old console emulation, but surely this will be defeated by a, presumably flawless, PS emulator(a console that has games that are at least comparable to any previous release). I suppose you will not be able to read ebooks, but how long ’til they just bung one of those in a system update.

29LOL Nevercoming out for one flash cant support enough memory on the psp and any other new feature you want wont never come out unless the build and new modle like ps2 counter ps2 slim and another thing if it dose Happen the PSOne so called emulator wont be and emulator in order for people not to fine a new exploit in it the games would have to be in eboot form and hence our demo for 2.71 and above or already eboots lol so no demo may just be PSP eboot remakes of psone game lol only makes sence no need for flash mem to be bigger and no way 2 hack and dont make any comments on my spelling im on my psp and no spell checks on that oh yeah this Mod Chip rocks i love it im on it right no whee one psp 2 firmwares 1.5 and 2.80 haha sony

41you cant change the controller port you are using. for example in mgs, you have to change to controller port 2 to beat psycho mantis. its impossible to do this with this emulator.
