Even though this version has been signed as final by the authors, there is still a risk of it bricking your PSP. If such happens, please don’t hold the authors, nor ForeverGeek, responsible for it. Or in short, use at your own risk.

As a personal tip, before downgrading I’d recommend you backup your saves and files on the Memory Stick and make sure your PSP is fully charged. Here are the instructions to downgrade:

1) Drag and drop both folders, PSP and DOWNDATER, to the root of your memory stick. If asked to overwrite click Yes to All

3) Start GTA and the eLoader (recommended version: 0.97 Super Bock nocache)

4) Connect your PSP to your charger

5) In the eLoader menu, choose the “DownDate Test”
–> WARNING: the program won’t output any display or any warnings, it will start to downgrade immediately.

6) You’ll see the your memstick flashing. That means that your psp is being flashed from the memstick.
You won’t see any type of output in the screen (this is for safety). When the memstick finishes
flashing, the PSP should reboot into 1.50 firmware.

PSP-Spot has put together a nice RAR file with the downgrader and the firmware in the same package (the password for the rar is psp-spot.com). To download the RAR package click here.

So now all you buccaneers can enjoy your PSP’s full homebrew potential, and enter the wonderful world of ISO piracy, enjoy! But remember, proceed at your own risk.
