It looks like there is now a device that will allow you to watch UMD’s on your TV. I think this should have been a standard feature of the PSP, but who am I to say anything…I am not a Sony Executive.
Gizmodo with the story:
So you received that free Spider-Man 2 UMD with your PSP but donât relish watching it on that pretty-but-dinky screen. No worries, this PSP TV/PC adapter is a way for you to watch it on your TV instead. It does involve changing the PSP faceplate (which will probably void your warranty), but after that all you have to do is connect it to an included docking station, hook it up to the screen, and wa-lah, itâs PSP on your television.

1And in other news: Sony has announced that they will release a special USB cable that allows you to plug your PSP to your TV and view it’s image on it.

3On a related topic, sales of DVD players drops dramatically as people everywhere flock to buy a psp and replace their current movie collection with UMDs. Also nintendo is coming out with Gameboy arcade, a freestanding device about 5 feet tall that will play 8-bit versions of popular gameboy advance games such as pac-man. Projected price is around $1400 per game.
Sarcasm is fun!
