From the very first treasure scene in the very first Indiana Jones movie, I knew I wanted to be a treasure hunter. The genuine threat of real danger was there, but so were the (literal) payouts. More than that, though, there was just a real draw to the idea of seeking out a buried, lost, or forgotten treasure from a time long ago. Just like most people will secretly admit they wish they could pull off a heist, I genuinely believe for anyone in the world, the idea of finding buried treasure is an alluring one. Especially when you start speculating about buried or lost treasures that are rumored to still be out there, unclaimed, just waiting for lucky yet adventurous fools to take the chance.
Indiana Jones was just the tip of the iceberg, come to find out. A fictitious character who represented a very real lifestyle choice for those brave enough to make it. Well, flash forward, I am not a treasure hunter, but chose the rode of talking and writing about them, so that is still pretty cool, but I digress. The video above is of ten lost treasures still are just aching to be found, by someone just like you and me and Doctor Jones.
By the way, some fine print here. If any of you do watch this video and then find actual treasure as a result, I just have one word for you, and I am sure you can respect it….
