Here’s the best thing we found on the Internet today: a 3D-printed Spider-Man mask.
This is the mask, or face shell, that goes with the entire costume, and it looks pretty darned good!
It also comes in white.
Of course, the mask (and costume) wouldn’t be complete without eye frames (and lenses, shown later). Else, Spidey’s identity may be revealed.
Here’s the whole set to add to the whole wow factor.
Now, one would think that a guy who can come up with a 3D-printed Spider-Man mask of such quality and detail is a huge fan of this particular superhero, yes?
In his interview with 3DPrint, Schuurkes says:
“Seeing Spider-Man come to life on the big screen back in 2002 made a big impression on me, and I really wanted a suit like that. I never particularly was a fan of Spider-Man, but there was something about this costume that amazed me. After looking everywhere for a movie-quality suit, I got my hands on a costume kit. It was a partially finished suit that I had to finish myself. When I finished it I didn’t really like it at all, so eventually decided to build the entire thing myself from scratch.
Yeah, same here. Except that I think Spider Pig was hilarious.
You’ve got to admire the dedication of the designer, though. For not being a fan, the fact that he spent years of work (among other things) on the suit(s) is nothing short of amazing.
