Are all Batman fans batty?
That was a rhetorical question, yes.
But, could this guy from Calne, Wiltshire be the battiest of them all? Judging by the Batcave he has constructed for more than a year, the answer can go both ways. After all, there have been “biggest Batfans” revealing themselves on Twitter. Then there’s fun “Batman London“.
So, Darren Wilson spent 18 months creating Batcave out of an ordinary bedroom. Why? Because he could.
But there was another, more pragmatic reason. He wanted a special place to store (and show off) his massive collection of all things Batman, and what better place than the Batcave (or a replica)?
Surely that is impressive enough.
But wait till you hear the whole story…
Spending 18 months of your life creating a Batcave can be considered “nothing” if compared to say, to a lifespan of 60 or 70 years. Especially not if you consider yourself to be the biggest Batman fan ever.
For Darren, he had a couple of other perks. One, he had his wife beside him every step of the way. Now that’s one heck of a couple!
Two, believe it or not, it only cost Darren…wait for it…100 GBP!!!
100 GBP to house a collection worth around 15,000 GBP. That’s a pretty sweet deal.
So, no. He’s not the battiest Batman fan, but he sure is one cool guy.
