A film that ‘puts a face to the voices we all know and love’ boasting 100-plus actors behind cartoon voices, “I Know That Voice,” partnered with clean water charity, charity: water, and American Cinematheque to produce the ultimate interactive world premiere; Cartoon fans raise $23,853 leading up to November 6 debut.
If you think Taylor Swift fans are loyal, you haven’t tapped into the world of cartoon fans. In a matter of hours, since the launch of “I Know That Voice” documentary’s campaign on Indiegogo, the world’s funding platform, animation addicts joined forces and raised nearly $6,000. Within a month and practically entirely through word of mouth, fans donated $23,853 to the cause.
Bringing fans an innovative, interactive world premiere experience, “I Know That Voice” teamed up with clean water charity charity: water. Held at the legendary Grauman’s Egyptian Theater on November 6, in Hollywood, Calif., the premiere allowed fans who have donated to the inspiring cause the chance to not only attend, but to also walk the red carpet, schmooze with the stars and producers and celebrate with them at the VIP after party, followed by a hearty breakfast.
This film pays homage to the hundreds of unsung heroes of the entertainment industry who have helped create the characters millions of people across the globe have come to love. Because of its undertaking, the “I Know That Voice” team knew they wanted to produce an event that not only thanked loyal cartoon fans with an interpersonal event, but also harness their influence by giving the majority of the proceeds back to charity: water.
Charity: water’s mission is ‘to bring clean, safe drinking water to every person on the planet.’ Why not connect cartoon lovers who can’t live without ‘toons to a motivational charity that brings clean water to those who can’t live without H2O?
