Children with special needs have always been close to my heart because my oldest nephew is one. So when I saw this campaign, the Magic Wheelchair Costume Project for Kids, I knew I had to spread the word.
The Magic Wheelchair Costume Project for Kids is a creation of non-profit organization, Magic Wheelchair. Their concept may seem trivial to some, but it makes a world of difference to the kids they help.
The mission: to create epic Halloween costumes for children in wheelchairs.
And when they say epic, they mean epic.
Take a look at this.
If that smile doesn’t tug at your heart, then you’re a cold-hearted one. And what did I say about epic?
Here’s another one.
As you can see, each wheelchair costume is detailed and making one is no easy feat. While the guys of Magic Wheelchair want to make more, they can’t do so without some help.
That’s where we come in.
They have a Kickstarter campaign with the goal of creating 5 wheelchair costumes for Halloween 2015. That’s several months to go, but they need to get started. The Magic Wheelchair project has already been funded, but they need all the help they can get, so take a look at these kids who look like they’ve been touched by magic.
Also go through their Kickstarter project page to learn about the kids and costumes they are making this year. Get your tissues ready.
