The amazing stories of Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Watson have been a major part of fictitious lore for WELL over a century now, and the adoration for the source material has also brought us a great many adaptations and variations on the crime solving duo. Hell, how many shows are on TV right now about Sherlock Holmes? Add to that the recent Guy Ritchie movie reboot and you can clearly see the world’s fascination with the characters has not waned over the years. But I can safely say we have never had a Sherlock like Will Ferrell and we have never had a Watson like John C. Reilly before. Fans of the insane (and at times very hilarious) Step brothers will know just what I mean. Good news for fans of the comedy duo and crime fighting duo, as they are about to be become one on the big screen.
“Sherlock and Watson” is to be the title, with the film itself taking a far more comedic route than we have ever seen in the last 100 adaptations of the famous character. And worry not, youguns, the film is set to be PG-13, so no need to fret about the humor being too adult for the little ones or too many shots of Sherlock’s Sherlock, if you get my drift.
We’ll be sure to lock you into more news on this insane collaboration as it becomes available. That was awful wordplay, wow.
