Virtual pinball games — aka, video games that simulate the real deal — are nothing new. This one, however, takes the cake as the biggest virtual pinball ever.
At the 2011 Fête des Lumière festival in Lyon, France (the Lyon Festival of Lights), visitors were treated to this giant pinball video game projected on the side of a building. Before you ask: no, it wasn’t a pre-recorded animation. It was completely playable on-site, using a game controller connected to the projector.
Carol Martin and Thibaut Berbezier, also known as the art collective called CT Light Concept, called their art/videogame installation “Urban Flipper,” and put it on the side of the Célestins Theater.
